About :

I've always loved lettering and handwriting.  In school, the notes I would take for class would have as much care taken in the way they were written as in the content itself. I was always told I had "teacher handwriting", so that's what I became - a teacher. I loved writing on the board and took pride in each letter. I enjoyed showing my students how to practice proper handwriting skills.

When I was younger, a talented lady at our church held a small workshop on calligraphy.  My mother attended and would bring home the materials after each session.  I enjoyed practicing the skill myself and soon took on my own style of the art.  It has been fun to try new lettering styles and incorporate them into many different projects over the years. I never forgot my roots, though. When it came time for my wedding, I went straight to Mrs. E to have my invitations addressed!

Over the years I have enjoyed calligraphy as a hobby. I have had the pleasure of addressing invitations for friends' weddings, as well as other creative projects. Each one has stretched my comfort zone, only to leave me with a feeling of great accomplishment when I see the smiles on the recipients' faces.

Now that I have the opportunity, I am looking to expand my hobby into a free-lance business. I hope you find everything you need to know about what I can offer here on this website. Whether it be invitation addressing, certificate inscriptions, place cards, scripture verse prints, poetry, or special requests, I strive to create a finished product that will please you - one that you will be proud to display and share!
